California Golden Empire Chapter - Relay For Life 2011

Nine members of the Golden Empire Chapter of CPCU participated in the local Bakersfield Relay For Life 2011 on April 30, 2011. Overall the local Bakersfield event included over 6,000 participants and raised over $2,000,401! A booth was set up displaying photos of community involvement from our CPCU members such as Reading Literacy, Scholarship Committee, and Dictionary Project. Captain of the CPCU team was Cindy Real who joined forces with the State Farm Insurance team. Everyone had a great time and enjoyed supporting a worthwhile event for the American Cancer Society.

Teddy Bear Patrol 2010

The 2011 Teddy Bear Drive officially began in March. The receipients of donated bears will be the Jamieson Center and the Bakersfield Fire Dept.

Donations can be brought to any CPCU meeting or given to Community Outreach members:
