Dictionary Project
Glinda Martin, Assistant Principal of Standard Elementary poses with thrid grade students and their dictionaries.
Susan Vann and Nancy Waldron are working on the Dictionary Project. The Chapter is purchasing dictionaries to be given to third grade students.
These dictionaries were given to third grade students at Standard Elementary School of Bakersfield. Why a dictionary? It is one of the first and most valuable tools that a child can own. Not only does it help with spelling, pronunciations and definitions, but it helps with reading, writing and creative thinking activities.
Our dictionaries contain a bookplate that indicates they are donated by the California Golden Empire Chapter. (Talk about Spreading the Word!)
